Rules & Regulations of NOFTC
2. No member or visitor shall, by act or omission, bring the sport into disrepute.
3. No member or visitor shall use an air weapon on club premises which exceeds the statutory muzzle velocity limits of 6 ftlbs for a pistol or 12 ftlbs for a rifle.
4. Members and visitors guns can be subject to chronograph checks at any time.
5. On arrival and departure from the club, each member or visitor will be responsible for confirming that their air weapons are not loaded or cocked.
6. Members & visitors shall, at all times, abide by the constitution of the North Oxon Field Target Club.
7. Members & visitors shall, at all times, conduct themselves in such a manner to ensure that safety is of paramount importance.
8. Any Junior aged 16 or under must be supervised, at all times, by a parent or guardian when on club premises. Any breach of this rule will be dealt with as in Rule 9 below.
9. Disciplinary Procedures: In any matter relating to a breach of club rules or constitution the full facts will be reported to, and considered by, a quorum of the elected committee, one of whom must be an elected officer as detailed in the constitution. Should the matter be proven and the member adjudged guilty, the following options are open to the aforementioned quorum of the committee -
a) Instant expulsion from the club and its premises - all subscriptions remaining as forfeit. Details of the offence will be related to the Central Southern Field Target Association and all member clubs.
b) A temporary suspension for a nominated period of time.
c) A reprimand to be noted in club records.
10. a)Signing-in book and red flags to be used at all times.
b)At all times, members must wear their membership card & visitors a visitor’s badge when on site.
11. Visitors’ range fees - £5 per adult (18 and over), £2.50 for juniors and concessions. These must be paid before shooting commences and will be payable until such time as full Membership is granted.
12. Visitors must complete 4 shooting visits over a 12-week period before applying for full Membership. A photograph and the appropriate fee must accompany membership applications. Applications will be discussed at the next available committee meeting. Applicants will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible. If successful, they will be considered to be probationary members for the first 3 months. Any misdemeanour during this time will be dealt with as in Rule 9 above.
13. Any person deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be removed from the site forthwith.
14. No shooting of live quarry.
15. Pets welcome but they must be kept under strict owner control at all times.
